Where Your Story Matters

The Finding Human Project aims to build connected communities and combat isolation by fostering safe environments where individuals from diverse backgrounds can collaborate, using story and play to deepen their understanding of themselves and others.

Combatting Isolation, One Story at a Time

Building a stronger, more resilient community is our passion.

We utilize a variety of theater tools and adult play to provide opportunities for personal exploration, the fostering of interpersonal connections, and the development of safe and creative environments for all to explore their story.

We seek to emphasize the importance of play for adults, highlighting its connection to social and emotional well-being. We aim to plant seeds of creativity and curiosity while supporting a perspective shift for adult brains. Although not specifically a theatre company, we believe that theatre is for all and understand its power to support the creation and telling of stories, recognizing that stories bring people together. Our programs aim to be adaptable, equitable, and engaging for all, serving a diverse range of individuals and offering various experiences, workshops, and performances to support personal exploration and community connection.

Let us be your guide.

Why is the work we’re doing important?

Isolation poses mental, emotional, and physical risks for humans. It leads to loneliness, depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline. Social isolation is linked to physical ailments and higher mortality rates. Human connection provides support, stimulation, and a sense of belonging essential for our health and happiness.

Guiding grown-ups as they reengage with play, curiosity, and creativity provide opportunities to shake off the isolation that constantly tries to work its way in.

We believe stories make us human. From stories that squeak to stories that roar, each person and community has a story that ties us together.

Finding Human Project firmly believes in cultivating safe and collaborative spaces for all.

Our core beliefs are:

  • Compassion is our cornerstone

  • Play belongs to people of all ages

  • Curiosity is a human right
